Description:
Construction of a multi-storey car park on the grounds of the Children’s Clinical University Hospital in Torņakalns, Riga. The project is being implemented in a “Design and Build” format, ensuring unified responsibility and efficient project delivery across all stages.
Total floor area: 10,454 m²
The building concept is maximally simple and functional. The architectural solution provides for a four-storey building with an accessible roof, creating a total of 337 parking spaces, including spaces for electric vehicle charging, vehicles used by people with reduced mobility, and motorcycles.
The building will be constructed from cast-in-place reinforced concrete using post-tensioned structural technology — a modern and sustainable solution that reduces the amount of steel used while ensuring high load-bearing capacity, efficient use of space, and long service life. In this system, the tendons are tensioned after the concrete has hardened, ensuring the required mechanical properties and operational quality of the structure.
In addition to the construction of the building, landscaping and greening works are planned, creating an orderly and aesthetically pleasing environment for hospital visitors.
Scope of work:
- Development of the construction design and required detailing
- Development of architectural solutions
- Structural engineering design
- Design of internal and external utility networks
- Construction works and project implementation
- Landscaping and greening solutions
The project will significantly improve access to the hospital and the infrastructure of the area, providing a convenient, safe, and sustainable environment for patients, their families, and the staff of the Children’s Clinical University Hospital.
