In partnership with Newcom Construction, Citrus Solutions is delivering one of the most significant healthcare infrastructure projects in Latvia – the full-scale reconstruction of the Latvian Oncology Centre inpatient facility of Riga East Clinical University Hospital.
The project is of strategic importance for the development of oncology treatment in Latvia and aims to create a modern, safe, and patient-centred healthcare environment that meets 21st-century medical and infrastructure standards.
Project Scope: The reconstruction will be carried out across multiple hospital buildings with a total area of 23,340 m². The project includes the phased renovation of treatment wards in a 10-storey building, operating theatres, intensive care units, and common areas.
Special attention is paid to construction planning and organisation to ensure that patient treatment and care can continue uninterrupted throughout the reconstruction period.
Construction contract value: EUR 52.63 million (excluding VAT)
Project Implementation: The project will be implemented by the Newcom–Citrus consortium, combining the expertise of Citrus Solutions and Newcom Construction in the delivery of complex, socially significant infrastructure projects.
Timeline: The project will be implemented in several phases, allowing for the gradual handover of premises for construction works:

Commissioning of the operating theatre block and intensive care units – by 7 February 2028; handover to the Client – by 7 April 2028;

Commissioning of inpatient ward facilities – by 30 April 2028; handover to the Client – by 30 June 2028.
