During our cooperation with Wellton, a young and rapidly expanding hotel brand, we had the responsibility of designing and building a data network, a video surveillance system and an ambient music system in a hotel situated at 49 Vaļņu Street. This was our second project for the Wellton brand, and one of the first ones in the hotel industry.
We had to face a number of challenges while dealing with this project. Specifically, we had a chance to acquire valuable experience and knowledge in the design and installation of Wi-Fi systems. The hotel was equipped with Wi-Fi equipment at the concluding stage, when all other works have already been completed. During the early stages of the project, we could not anticipate that the hotel is going to offer so little space for the construction of a data network; moreover, the hotel had lots of metal equipment that distorted the Wi-Fi signal, so the challenge we faced was to overcome a number of different obstacles in order to ensure optimum Wi-Fi coverage. In cooperation with Lattelecom, we have been able to produce the best solution.
